Pepto-Bismol Liquid – Quick Relief for Digestive Discomfort contains bismuth subsalicylate. It is used to relieve indigestion, heartburn, nausea, upset stomach and diarrhoea.
How it works
It coats and soothes the stomach lining and helps settle digestive upset.
How to use it
Shake the bottle and take the dose on the pack using the measure provided. Do not take more than the maximum dose in 24 hours. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Do not use if you are allergic to aspirin or other salicylates, are under 16, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take blood thinning medicines, without speaking to a pharmacist.
Possible side effects
It can temporarily darken the tongue and stools, which is harmless. Other side effects are uncommon.
