Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common long term condition affecting the digestive system. It causes stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhoea or constipation that often come and go.
There is no cure, but diet changes, stress management and pharmacy medicines can help control symptoms. If you have not been diagnosed, see your GP first to rule out other conditions.
