Aciclovir Tablets contains aciclovir, an antiviral medicine. It is used to treat and suppress herpes simplex infections, including genital herpes and severe or frequent cold sores.
How it works
It stops the herpes virus from multiplying, shortening outbreaks and reducing how often they happen.
How to use it
Take as prescribed with water, starting as soon as symptoms begin. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Tell the prescriber about kidney problems, pregnancy, breastfeeding and other medicines.
Possible side effects
Headache, feeling sick, diarrhoea and dizziness can happen.
