Rigevidon Tablets – 3 x 21 contains levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol, a combined contraceptive pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy.
How it works
It stops ovulation, thickens cervical mucus and thins the womb lining.
How to use it
Take one pill at the same time each day for 21 days, then have a 7 day break, unless the prescriber advises a different pattern. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Not suitable for everyone, including some people with migraine with aura, high blood pressure, a history of blood clots, or who smoke and are over 35. The prescriber will check.
Possible side effects
Headaches, feeling sick, breast tenderness and spotting are common, especially at first. There is a small increased risk of blood clots.
