Norethisterone 5mg Tablets contains norethisterone 5mg, a progestogen. It is used to delay a period.

How it works

It keeps progesterone levels high so the womb lining does not shed.

How to use it

Take one tablet 3 times a day, starting 3 days before your period is due, for up to 17 days. Your period usually starts 2 to 3 days after stopping. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.

Before you use it

Not suitable if you have had blood clots, liver problems or are pregnant. It is not a contraceptive.

Possible side effects

Bloating, breast tenderness, headache and mood changes can happen.
