How it works
It relaxes the muscles around the airways so they open up quickly.
How to use it
Use 1 to 2 puffs when you need it, or as your asthma plan says. Shake the inhaler first and use a spacer if advised. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Speak to your GP or asthma nurse if you need your reliever 3 or more times a week, as your asthma may not be well controlled.
Possible side effects
Shaking, a fast heartbeat and headache can happen, especially at higher doses.
