How it works
At a low dose, aspirin makes blood cells called platelets less sticky, lowering the risk of clots.
How to use it
Take once a day as advised by your doctor, with or after food. Dispersible tablets can be dissolved in water. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Only take daily aspirin if a doctor has advised it. Not for under 16s. Tell your doctor about stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, asthma or other medicines.
Possible side effects
It can cause indigestion and increase bleeding risk. Get advice if you notice black stools or blood in vomit.
