Sumatriptan Tablets contains sumatriptan, a triptan migraine treatment. It is used to treat migraine attacks, with or without aura.
How it works
It narrows swollen blood vessels in the head and blocks pain signals.
How to use it
Take one tablet as soon as the headache starts. If it comes back, a second dose can be taken after at least 2 hours, up to the daily maximum. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Not suitable if you have heart disease, high blood pressure or have had a stroke. Tell the prescriber or pharmacist about other medicines, especially antidepressants.
Possible side effects
Tingling, heaviness, flushing and tiredness can happen.
