Chloramphenicol 1% Eye Ointment – 4g contains chloramphenicol, an antibiotic for eye infections. It is used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis in adults and children aged 2 and over.
How it works
It kills the bacteria causing the infection.
How to use it
Use as the pack directs, usually for 5 days. Wash your hands before and after use. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Do not use if you wear contact lenses unless advised. Get urgent help for eye pain, vision changes or light sensitivity.
Possible side effects
Brief stinging or blurred vision can happen.
