Piriton Allergy Tablets 4mg – 30 Tablets contains chlorphenamine maleate 4mg, a sedating antihistamine. It is used to relieve hay fever, allergies, itchy rashes and insect bite reactions.
How it works
It blocks histamine, the chemical that causes allergy symptoms.
How to use it
Adults usually take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours, up to the daily maximum on the pack. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
It commonly causes drowsiness, so do not drive or drink alcohol. Check with a pharmacist if you have epilepsy, glaucoma or prostate problems.
Possible side effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth and blurred vision are common.
