Desogestrel 75mcg Tablets – 3 x 28 contains desogestrel, a progestogen only pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy, including for people who cannot take oestrogen.
How it works
It mainly works by stopping ovulation and thickening cervical mucus.
How to use it
Take one pill every day at the same time with no break between packs. A pill is missed if it is more than 12 hours late. Always read the patient information leaflet before use.
Before you use it
Tell the prescriber about liver problems, unexplained bleeding and other medicines.
Possible side effects
Irregular bleeding is common. Other effects include headaches, mood changes and acne.
